The company was started by Barry Sarver in 1973 after previously having worked for the architectural firm of Smithey & Boynton and later, Phoenix Concrete, both which were located in Roanoke, VA.

Architectural Concrete Products, Inc. occupies a 17 acre site surrounded by the mountains of southwestern Virginia. Operating out of a 15,000 square foot facility.  ACP, Inc. combines simple raw materials - sand, gravel, cement and water along with a few additives, to create a wide range of colors and textures. The entrance to the factory displays a assorted variety of precast concrete colors and samples.

Along with architectural precast concrete panels, trim and moldings for a buildings facade ACP, Inc. also specializes in the art of sculptural precast concrete where a mold is carved from clay to make a positive of the pattern. A negative of the pattern must then be cast to use as a form for the finished piece.

With its many artisans, craftsmen and architects on staff, ACP has worked on some of the most prominent buildings in the area.

Architectural Concrete’s projects range from governmental, institutional, educational, residential and commercial.
